Men and women are really different. They are not "turned on" by the same thing. That's basic psychology. Men are more visual that's why they fall for what they see, while women are more "auditory," so they fall for what they hear. Clearly, in this fashion show (The Naked Truth), Bench was basically appealing to men and not really women. That's just how it is even if people deny it.

While Leni Robredo is “waiting for something to happen to the president”, she spends her time in numerous PR activities. Nothing new there, but today I saw a couple of pictures that bothered me. Here is Photo 1 , taken Aug 24, 2016 at the Jesse Robredo exhibit that was mounted in Gateway mall, a property owned by the family of Mar Roxas. Here is Photo 2 , taken Aug 29, 2016 at the launch of a Jesse Robredo book in Fully Booked BGC. What do you notice about these two photos? The design of the visuals is very reminiscent of the imagery associated with Philippine presidents. Photo 1 shows a classic “trooping of the guard” image. Photo 2 shows a book cover with a head bust that has a Philippine flag prominently displayed in the background. EDSA 'revolution' cost Filipinos dearly for their emo politics

Several years ago, a Singaporean told me, “EDSA cost you Filipinos more than you can ever imagine.” His reason was, Marcos was actually on the right track preparing the country for industrialization. The export processing zone in the Philippines was among the first and we were ahead of most of our neighbors. There was even a nuclear power plant ready to be turned on which can supply the power demands of electronic factories cheaply. But we kept protesting. So, instead of establishing the Philippines as a manufacturing base, most US companies invested in Singapore instead. For example, Seagate which was the major hard drive manufacturer in the 1990′s supplied more than half of Singapore’s income for more than a decade. He said, Philippines could have been the Singapore of Southeast Asia. Philippines could have been the rich guy in the block. A critique of #MyHusbandsLover

A friend of mine reposted a status of his friend on Facebook: “Having watched almost one month worth of episodes of ‎# MyHusbandsLover I can’t help but be disappointed. What I initially thought as groundbreaking television show was actually just another teleserye about adultery (which is pretty much almost all of our teleseryes are about). The only difference is we have a married closeted gay man and another gay man as a third party. Give me something that would further gay rights. Give me some insight to same sex relationship dyn amics. Tell me how it is like to be a successful but closeted gay man in a very testosterone dominated company. Tell me how scary it is to have a homophobic family. Explain to me why there are relationships composed of two masculine gay man (or two flamboyant gay men) instead of one masculine and one flamboyant which is still the society’s concept of a gay relationship. Bonchon Chicken reminds me of the typical Filipino

I just ate at a Bonchon Chicken branch this afternoon, after a long time. The skin is very delicious. Yet when I started eating the meat, I suddenly realized that it was rather bland. Why does this remind me of a typical Filipino? A typical Filipino will give you the impression that he/she is very noteworthy and astig ang dating with his/her braggadocio . In short, he/she likes to brag. However, if you go past that and start dissecting him/her, he/she usually has nothing to show for it. In short, he/she is all hot air, and mediocre at best underneath. I'm not telling you guys to stop eating at Bonchon Chicken. Yet the success of this product has proven yet again that Filipinos are all too quick to ride on the bandwagon of a product. Plus, they've shown themselves once again as suckers for a product that is, at the surface enticing, yet in the end is, in my opinion, rather mediocre. Yes, that's the Pinoy for you. A piece of Bonchon chicken.
