I was correct with my gut feelings. My friendly butiki, who listens to everything inside the executive offices of GMA7, confirmed that it was the network that paid for everything (repeat, everything) in the so called 'royal wedding'. It was over Php100m on the wedding day alone, not including other expenses in the pre-nuptial activities. This is an eye-popping amount if it is just a wedding expense (as I am one of those who think that a 20m wedding is already stupid and insensitive in a Third World setting, even if one could afford a 500m one). Over 100m, however, is a justifiable amount, even cheap vis-a-vis the ROI, if it is accounted as marketing and advertising expense of a large corporation that regularly spends much more anyway in their ads and promos. Contrary to the way Big Yellow Media and International Media have portrayed events of recent days, the reality is BBM is NOT CONCEDING.  I have learned just now in good authority that this is so.  The focus right now is on gathering and documenting evidence and testimonies of electoral fraud.  Much has already been gathered and more are coming.  Please continue to be extra vigilant and engaged as these days are ultra critical while there is not yet a VP proclamation. I also want to take issue with all the news stories that say Senator BBM has lost the election.  This is not objectively true.  If a proper recount is done taking into consideration all issues and instances of fraud, Marcos Jr. is by all accounts and as reported by all third party exit polls, the TRUE WINNER.  These stories on mainstream media are just way too premature and profoundly wrong.  Please do not believe them.  Stay tuned here to know what is really going on in this developing story. This "open letter" was found making the rounds on social media: * * * Dear Sirs: I just wanted to make some comments on the reporting of the CNN International crew here in Manila, regarding the relief efforts for the victims of super-typhoon Haiyan (which we locally call typhoon Yolanda). First, full disclosure: I am a retired Filipino executive and computer person. I was born in the Philippines and spent all my life here (save for some very short overseas stints connected with my career). Investigate Omidyar investment in Rappler now!

So, the Constitutional prohibition on foreign ownership of media is being skirted around by Rappler, ABS-CBN and GMA-7 through the issuance of Phillipine Depositary Receipts or PDRs to foreign investors like Omidyar, considering that PDRs are not considered as certificates of ownership. Omidyar invested a substantial amount in Rappler through this scheme. But a closer look at the Omidyar investment suggests a possible active role of this US based company. More significantly, Omidyar is implicated in political intervention that led to the revolution in the Ukraine last year. I reiterate my call for a full congressional investigation in aid of legislation to look into how Rappler could have exploited loopholes in the law to undermine the Constitution and have an active partnership with an investor that has a track record in aiding and abetting regime change. --------------------- Antonio Contreras as posted on Facebook .
