Presumably speaking for his new "movement", Cruz asserts...

Many of us reject the imposition of a Duterte political test on all artists, journalists, bloggers, and other citizens. Yes, this test is used to harass and silence any citizen who questions and depicts events happening in the country. We are instantly accused of being either an addict, a pusher, or terrorist just because we think differently or speak audaciously. In my view, no Filipino should be given any test before being allowed to express ourselves.

Cruz seems to imply that there is some kind of restriction on free speech currently in effect in the Philippines. What is interesting is that he cites the use of labels as a form of curtailing of that right and a "political test" to determine the sort of challenge they expect to cop from people who challenge their views.

The members of this movement should actually rethink inclusion of a hypocrite like Tonyo Cruz in their ranks. Cruz himself is not above summarily labelling people with political tests himself and then proceeding to make baseless claims against them. Indeed, Tonyo Cruz himself makes libelous claims about people and routinely gets away with it. Not good form for a clique of "activists" who screech about "impunity" at every occassion.



Until now, Cruz has yet to prove these accusations. Trouble is, his own clique of like-minded folk too are not above selective evaluation of information. And these morons wonder why the media they supposedly represent in this "movement" have lost all credibility.

Reporters Karen Lema and Manuel Mogato of @Reuters LIED about the Duterte "Hitler" quote

The oh-so-noble journalists are at it again, this time, with Duterte’s Hitler comment. I am no Duterte fanatic. I criticize him more scathingly than anyone when his mouth is out of line. But this time, Duterte really didn’t say anything wrong. The real culprits behind the fuss over his Hitler comment are Karen Lema and Manuel Mogato, two Filipino reporters of the Reuters news agency, who wrote this article: “ Philippines’ Duterte likens himself to Hitler, wants to kill millions of drug addicts ”. Lema and Mogato are Filipinos. There’s no way they could have misunderstood what Duterte really meant in his speech. I watched the video and this is what the President said: “Hitler massacred 3 million Jews. There are 3 million drug addicts. I’d be happy to slaughter them. At least, if Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have ….. my victims, all criminals, to finish a problem of my country, and save the next generation.” (See for yourself here . Senate Lascanas and Motabato Show an LP ploy to create more ammo for int'l media vs Duterte

I think Lascanas really did have a murder-for-hire racket going on with Matobato. So all those murders he said he committed are most probably true. The question is, did Duterte order those murders? Can it be proven that he ordered them? Not likely. Those charges against Duterte have been around for thirty years and no one has been able to prove them. It's not likely they can be proven now. And it doesn't matter, because that's not the real goal of the Liberal Party. The real goal of the LP-sponsored Lascanas/Matobato Show at the Senate is to produce new anti-Duterte content for the international media. Why do you think the "diary" of Lascanas is in perfect English with not a single Tagalog or Bisaya word in it? What the LP doesn't realize is that no matter what Lascanas says, it won't change people's minds about Duterte.
