Extrajudicial Killings possibly supported by CIA covert ops 'endorsed' by Cory Aquino when she was president

Recall a 27th March 1987 Newsweek article, that reports a "critical Washington source" revealing how then Philippine President Cory Aquino authorised the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to "launch undercover political activities" against communist insurgents.

According to the same report, there were various local vigilante groups already taking matters into their own hands against these insurgents and that the Aquino government at the time seemed "to endorse the vigilantes".

On the issue of asking Bongbong Marcos to apologize for his parents, I agree, it doesn't make sense. It doesn't not because we're Asians but because he has nothing to do with what his father did. Why apologize for something he has nothing to do with? Ramos and Enrile (and other remnants of the Marcos regime) who were Martial Law architects were not asked to apologize for the dictator. Why would the son who was even a toddler/teenager at the time his father ruled with an iron fist? Of course, he can apologize and that would still be within what being an Asian is. Admitting something that is a fact. To repeat the question: How does blocking Roxas Boulevard (or any other major thoroughfare) make up for its economic costs? So far none have provided a detailed description of how exactly this charity event helps the victims of Yolanda/Haiyan or how they make up for the economic costs in any way. Good intentions are not a good answer and dodging the question by making flawed comparisons to other equally dubious religious events doesn’t cover it. Saying that we should all be grateful that it is showcasing unity instead of divisiveness is disingenuous at best. Also, you can’t blame people for being skeptical of your organization’s motives given your political history and organizational structure. The leader of the INC holds far more sway over its followers than the Pope does over Catholics, making it more like a cult than a bona fide religion. Leni Robredo misdeclared MERALCO stocks possibly worth 6 million pesos!

Leni Robredo admitted to Mike Enriquez during a radio interview on May 9 that she owned stocks at Meralco. She also admitted that such had a value of 95k pesos in 1995. Robredo did not declare the value of these stocks, and while she declared owning stocks, the value of such is not listed in her SALN as an asset. Now after doing some crowd-sourcing and math, here is what I found out. I could not get the share prices of Meralco stocks in 1995. What I got thanks to Carlos A Jr Cortes is the value in 2000 which is 4 pesos per share. Using this, and this is even conservative since the price in 1995 must have been lower than 4 pesos, then Robredo owned at least 23,750 shares of stocks (95k divided by 4). The current share price of Meralco is 272 pesos per share. If we use this value, then Robredo has at least 6.46 milion pesos (at least 23,750 shares multiplied by 272 pesos per share) of assets which she failed to declare in her SALN. Jose Rizal never had Tagalog in mind when he encouraged us to love our own language

Posted by a certain Chloe Santiago on the Facebook GRP Community Group : Jose Rizal died in 1896 and Tagalog was declared the official language of the Philippine only in 1937. This can only mean that Rizal wasn't really talking about Tagalog when he made this statement: "He who does not love his own language is worse than an animal and smelly fish." Indeed. Who made the arbitrary directive to make the Tagalog dialect the "National Language" to begin with? Furthermore, why have a "National Language" when Filipinos are already proficient in the global lingua franca of commerce and scientific achievement?
