Where does campaign money doled out by #Filipino politicians come from?

The Failippines public figures can no longer write their own speeches or books, and there is lots of evidence that they can't read them either.

On my own thoughts, most Failipino politicians are small and shabby, the sort of people who have been bullied at school. That's why they become politicians.

On average, women are better liars than men. But the best liars are men, because Failipino politicians are still predominantly men. They are all honest politicians — they all stay bought.

Most Failipinos don't know where the money comes from. Even most of their elected officials don't know. If you were to ask a Failipino politician where money comes from, he/she would probably reply, "I don't know, from other people's pockets?"

It's hard to steal somebody's shoes while they are wearing them and not have them notice. But that's what Failipino politicians have done in this country. Not only that, but they replaced all the Failipinos footwear with concrete boots.

To be surrounded by a hundred people who make your life miserable is to be at a family reunion. But to be surrounded by more than 100 million people who make the whole country miserable is to live in the Failippines.

Can the Failippines get back to a point where politicians are honest? Not unless that point is the tip of a sword.

The sound of a #Tagalog convo: 'like chickens and hens cackling in unison'

While I'm not sure the language should totally go the way Latin did, one can't deny the limited use of Tagalog. As it is now, a sentence can't be done without two or three borrowed words in English which makes it redundant in academia. Somehow you gotta address the technical jargon but there really is no equivalent to it in Tagalog so the English term just ends up jammed in between the local vernacular. Nevermind the fact that reading Tagalog online is cringey no matter who wrote it. Add the fact that it just doesn't sound pleasing to the ear. “Youth is wasted on the young”, they used to say. If you send your daughter or son, to universities, like the University of the Philippines. You send him or her, to learn about the subjects, of the field, he/she is hoping to finish and graduate. Not waste his/her time on bankrupt political ideologies like communism.
