Why are there so many unintelligent people?

Knowledge has nothing to do with intelligence. So studying wont help, as you wont be able to learn. You can teach a bear to ride a bicycle, but it does not mean the bear will know what he is doing or that he will be able to change a flat tire. Why are there so many unintelligent people? Because the poor and uneducated have been breeding like rabbits. Each generation born just a bit dumber than the one before them. Like when you copy a VHS tape and then make a copy of the copy, et cetera. The quality will get worse and worse. A gene pool that has been watered down to the lowest quality. It has actually come to a point now where people not only act, but actually look like retards. I see it all the time in children and young adults. Now, that’s really bad. I’m not saying that all Filipinos are dumb. But most are. Gullible and easily influenced by fairytales a.k.a. religion and other dumb stuff. They are not brainwashed, because there was nothing to wash out to start with.

An open letter to CNN on their reporting on the #YolandaPH disaster in the Philippines

This "open letter" was found making the rounds on social media: * * * Dear Sirs: I just wanted to make some comments on the reporting of the CNN International crew here in Manila, regarding the relief efforts for the victims of super-typhoon Haiyan (which we locally call typhoon Yolanda). First, full disclosure: I am a retired Filipino executive and computer person. I was born in the Philippines and spent all my life here (save for some very short overseas stints connected with my career). I have worked with a large local Philippine utility, started up several entrepreneurial offshore software service companies (when outsourcing was not yet in vogue), and also served as the Philippine country head for a multi-billion dollar Japanese computer company. This diverse work background allows me to always see both the local and global point of view, and to see things from the very different standpoints of a third-world citizen, and a person familiar with first-world mind

Jose Rizal never had Tagalog in mind when he encouraged us to love our own language

Posted by a certain Chloe Santiago on the Facebook GRP Community Group : Jose Rizal died in 1896 and Tagalog was declared the official language of the Philippine only in 1937. This can only mean that Rizal wasn't really talking about Tagalog when he made this statement: "He who does not love his own language is worse than an animal and smelly fish." Indeed. Who made the arbitrary directive to make the Tagalog dialect the "National Language" to begin with? Furthermore, why have a "National Language" when Filipinos are already proficient in the global lingua franca of commerce and scientific achievement?

So what if top Filipino singer Lea Salonga rose to the pinnacle of achievement in the performing arts under the "regime" of former President Ferdinand Marcos? The Philippines, after all, experienced its Golden Age of locally-produced music under over that era. All that is beside the point, however. The Yellowtards who comprise the majority of the members of the shrill Martial Law Crybaby community can't really tell the difference between what is objectively "bad" and what they merely don't like . Indeed, mixed into their brew of confused morality and ethical frames is the Medieval idea of "evil" which, they think, if attributed to something they unilaterally don't like automatically gives them the moral ascendancy to condemn. Yellowtards are an intellectual disease in Philippine society. They hijack entire issues and apply their twisted sense of morality to the discourse surrounding it to the point where the entire discussion is muddled
