While I'm not sure the language should totally go the way Latin did, one can't deny the limited use of Tagalog. As it is now, a sentence can't be done without two or three borrowed words in English which makes it redundant in academia. Somehow you gotta address the technical jargon but there really is no equivalent to it in Tagalog so the English term just ends up jammed in between the local vernacular. Nevermind the fact that reading Tagalog online is cringey no matter who wrote it. Add the fact that it just doesn't sound pleasing to the ear. Normal conversation with Tagalog is like chickens and hens cackling in unison to the uninitiated. It's the peasants' language through and through. ------------ This is a GRP Featured Comment. ReplyDeleteFirst of all, hindi natin pinag-uusapan ang ganda niya. Talaga naman maganda siya. Ang pinag-uusapan ay yung pagsasalita niya ng English. This is not an honest mistake. Kung degree holder ka ng Psychology at sa La Salle pa, malabong honest mistake yan!!!! This is not personal. If you are not sure of what you want to say, lalo na sa banyagang salita, huwag mo nang sabihin lalo na kung nasa Pinas ka kasi talaga ka naman pagtatawanan. Kung nandito ka sa US okay lang basta maiintindidhan ka. Pero kung nasa US ka at hindi nila alam yung UP Oblation, hindi ka rin maiintindihan. The point is, you are a public figure and you should think twice before you open your mouth!
Delete@superstarmarian is a not marian rivera's twitter account. its some unknown guy/girl who spoofs her. better check out that twiiter account to see for yourself. if you still don't get it, better get a sense of humor :)
Deletecan't help it... most englisero at englisera, forenger or lokals has this sound alike spelling issue. they can speak well but can't spell it rihgt.

LOL ang tatanga ng mga tao. Marian had repeatedly said in the past na wala syang Facebook, Twitter, etc. Naghahanap lang kayo ng reason to make fun of her and insult her. Anong klaseng mga tao kayo? Bitter.
ReplyDeleteI'm just one of the many citizens who have seen her harsh manners personally. So don't blame people if they don't like that celebrity and make fun of her. You're the one who's bitter. Besides, it's true. She lacks brain. If you really care for her, tell her to be more humble so less detractors will she have. So less bitterness for you too. ;)
