ALL LIBERAL PARTY CANDIDATES subject to disqualification due to LP violation of COMELEC rules!

Oh yes, then Section 14 of Republic Act 7166

"Every candidate and treasurer of the political party shall, within thirty (30) days after the day of the election, file in duplicate with the offices of the Commission the full, true and itemized statement of all contributions and expenditures in connection with the election.

NO PERSON ELECTED TO ANY PUBLIC OFFICES SHALL ENTER UPON THE DUTIES OF HIS OFFICE UNTIL HE HAS FILED THE STATEMENT OF CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPENDITURES HEREIN REQUIRED.

THE SAME PROHIBITION SHALL APPLY IF THE POLITICAL PARTY WHICH NOMINATED THE WINNING CANDIDATE FAILS TO FILE THE STATEMENT REQUIRED HEREIN WITHIN THE PERIOD PRESCRIBED BY THIS ACT."

So, if the law is followed, Leni Robredo has to be disqualified. Same goes for the whole LP slate. Franklin Drilon, Emmanuel Joel Villanueva, Francis Pangilinan, Ralph Recto, Leila Norma Eulalia Josefa De Lima and a whole lot of LP candidates in the Congress. Same goes for local elected candidates.

  1. Dapat Lang! Law is law. The comelec should start respecting the law before they would ended up dead killed by those people who don't follow laws too. Kaya comelec, you need to wake up and do the job you are entitled to do.
