Recently, Palace spokesman Edwin Lacierda said something interesting:

"When Chief Justice Renato Corona takes the witness stand in his impeachment trial, he will have nothing that can destroy President Benigno Aquino III, Malacanang said Wednesday.

“Nada (nothing),” Palace spokesman Edwin Lacierda said when asked if Corona has the goods on Aquino."

Well, I do agree with Lacierda. But only because there's nothing more to be destroyed.


PNoy has already destroyed his own reputation by being a vindictive president, conducting a trial through media, and generally performing below average in solving the country's socioeconomic woes.

Seriously, there is absolutely no need for the Palace to make itself known. It should just let the impeachment trial play out and not butt in.

There are now papers floating around that the BPI account in Julia Vargas has a running balance of around Php22,000xx from March 2015 to March 2016. It's peanuts, and Trillanes makes a big fuzz about it? Sonamagan, even call center agents would have this kind of bank accounts; definitely does not show a corrupt DU30. And then, Trillanes talks of 42 real estate properties, but mostly owned by the children of DU30. Yet, the first one that media checks is a unit in P Guevarra, which is only valued at 2.3 million. Even ordinary employees could buy such unit. That could hardly buy just the main door, an imported antique, in the house of Binay, which has been valued at 15 million, yes just the freaking door by itself. Did former President Fidel Ramos order Duterte to work with Leni Robredo?

President Duterte offering Leni Robredo the housing appointment feels forced, both by FVR and the Yellow people. I find it exceedingly worrisome that Duterte said he takes his orders from FVR.  That is NOT a good sign, believe me.  Remember it was FVR who told Duterte that he and the immorally proclaimed VP ought to work together. If you think about FVR's known history and track record, that would just be a hint of why this alliance is a very problematic one for the nation.  Moreover, even if President Duterte gave Robredo a Cabinet post, that still doesn't erase the reality of massive ELECTORAL FRAUD that got her her immoral proclamation.  Millions of Filipinos don't believe she is the rightful VP and having successfully pressured Duterte to offer her a Cabinet post will not change that reality. ------------------- Victoria V.
