Recently, Palace spokesman Edwin Lacierda said something interesting:

"When Chief Justice Renato Corona takes the witness stand in his impeachment trial, he will have nothing that can destroy President Benigno Aquino III, Malacanang said Wednesday.

“Nada (nothing),” Palace spokesman Edwin Lacierda said when asked if Corona has the goods on Aquino."

Well, I do agree with Lacierda. But only because there's nothing more to be destroyed.


PNoy has already destroyed his own reputation by being a vindictive president, conducting a trial through media, and generally performing below average in solving the country's socioeconomic woes.

Seriously, there is absolutely no need for the Palace to make itself known. It should just let the impeachment trial play out and not butt in.

Over 100M-peso cost of #DongYanWedding shouldered by GMA Network as publicity investment!

I was correct with my gut feelings. My friendly butiki, who listens to everything inside the executive offices of GMA7, confirmed that it was the network that paid for everything (repeat, everything) in the so called 'royal wedding'. It was over Php100m on the wedding day alone, not including other expenses in the pre-nuptial activities. This is an eye-popping amount if it is just a wedding expense (as I am one of those who think that a 20m wedding is already stupid and insensitive in a Third World setting, even if one could afford a 500m one). Over 100m, however, is a justifiable amount, even cheap vis-a-vis the ROI, if it is accounted as marketing and advertising expense of a large corporation that regularly spends much more anyway in their ads and promos. Contrary to the way Big Yellow Media and International Media have portrayed events of recent days, the reality is BBM is NOT CONCEDING.  I have learned just now in good authority that this is so.  The focus right now is on gathering and documenting evidence and testimonies of electoral fraud.  Much has already been gathered and more are coming.  Please continue to be extra vigilant and engaged as these days are ultra critical while there is not yet a VP proclamation. A friend of mine reposted a status of his friend on Facebook: “Having watched almost one month worth of episodes of ‎# MyHusbandsLover I can’t help but be disappointed. What I initially thought as groundbreaking television show was actually just another teleserye about adultery (which is pretty much almost all of our teleseryes are about). The only difference is we have a married closeted gay man and another gay man as a third party. Give me something that would further gay rights.
