Noynoy's 2011 SONA is short on long views and long on short views

All roads lead back to that quintessential Filipino issue that is most fundamental to its continued impoverishment: CULTURE. Those who have the cultural predisposition to take the long view will prosper and those stuck with an inherent short view of the world will languish in pwede-na-yan oblivion.

Looking into the propaganda machine of the Yellow "Liberal Party" camp

Definitely the 1986 People Power narrative should be junked. But the methods the yellows used to create that narrative and sustain it are worth studying. The yellows have one skill: propaganda/spin doctoring. Maybe GRP writers can write a piece on this, it's like the yellow ecosystem for brainwashing the masses. The ecosystem is made up of: 1. They show up on TV and radio programs as "analysts" or man-on-the-street interviewees, and this is how the yellow media are able to editorialize the news. 2. This is karmic justice at work. Duterte just happens to be the channel that the universe used to send back to De Lima what she dished out to others. How can De Lima cry foul and accuse Duterte of character assassination, after what she and her yellow master did to Gloria Arroyo, Angelo Reyes, Chief Justice Corona, VP Binay, and Duterte himself? (i.e., defying SC TRO, illegal detention for 6 years, slander, nonstop public humiliation, trial by publicity) How can De Lima ask for her family to be spared, when she and her yellow master harassed even the Arroyo, Corona, and Binay children, spouses, and relatives with court cases, and drove Reyes and Corona to their deaths? The oh-so-noble journalists are at it again, this time, with Duterte’s Hitler comment. I am no Duterte fanatic. I criticize him more scathingly than anyone when his mouth is out of line. But this time, Duterte really didn’t say anything wrong. The real culprits behind the fuss over his Hitler comment are Karen Lema and Manuel Mogato, two Filipino reporters of the Reuters news agency, who wrote this article: “ Philippines’ Duterte likens himself to Hitler, wants to kill millions of drug addicts ”. Lema and Mogato are Filipinos. There’s no way they could have misunderstood what Duterte really meant in his speech. I watched the video and this is what the President said: “Hitler massacred 3 million Jews. There are 3 million drug addicts. I’d be happy to slaughter them.
