No point in outlawing 'corruption' in the Philippines because Filipinos consider it NORMAL

Image
I’ve noticed Filipinos are perfectly capable of thinking, but they deliberately avoid it. By pretending to be more stupid, ignorant, or thoughtless than they actually are, everything becomes somebody else’s fault. You are responsible for nothing. If all else fails, it’s all “the will of God”. Hard to tell how much of this behaviour is driven by the Church and how much by social factors. As regards the Law, a critical point that most people miss is that truly successful laws (that is, statutes ) do not drive behavior: they merely codify common consensus . The few who refuse to conform are then subject to punishment of some sort, but the general social consensus is what drives compliance, not the existence of the written statute. The statute is merely a reaffirmation of what everyone already thinks. There is absolutely no point in outlawing “corruption” because (a) most people don’t even comprehend what it is and (b) if described, most people think it’s normal and acceptable. Unfo...

Untested Dengvaxia anti-Dengue vaccine approved by Aquino government despite possible risks

Image
Recent revelations that a dengue vaccine used to inoculate more than 700,000 Filipino children could actually be dangerous has cast light upon the process and people involved in the procurement of the drug back under the administration of them President Benigno Simeon 'BS' Aquino III. A press release issued by Senator Richard Gordon expressed concerns over the safety of the untested drug and cited risks raised by the manufacturer itself... Sanofi, manufacturer of the world's first dengue vaccine, has admitted the drug may be harmful when administered to individuals not previously infected with dengue.  It admitted that a new analysis of long-term clinical trial data on the said vaccine showed that Dengvaxia provides persistent protective benefits against dengue fever in those who had prior infection. However, for those not previously infected by dengue virus, more cases of severe disease could occur following vaccination upon a subsequent dengue infection. Acc...

Proposed 'revolutionary government' too 'simplistic' according to Ateneo president @FrJett Villarin

Image
Priests like Ateneo de Manila University president Fr Jose Ramon "Jett" Villarin SJ just can't help but comment on Philippine politics. Villain cautioned Ateneans "against the excessive powers that it may grant a select few," then goes on to elaborate ... "[T]he RevGov [Revolutionary Government] proposition has a key weakness – it has a very simplistic theory of change. It contends that concentrating power in the hands of a few would give them the means to execute the key reforms necessary to move the country forward," he said on Wednesday, November 29. But if we recall, Yellowtardism is also underpinned by an even more simplistic theory of change -- that, given enough "freedom" and "democracy", Filipinos will prosper. History has proven that this foundation of Yellowtard ideology is false. The 1986 EDSA People Power "Revolution" supposedly resulted in Filipinos "winning back" their "freedom"...

Is it right for people like @TonyoCruz to incite support for NPA terrorists?? 😮

Image
While soldiers -- who fight for the flag and are funded by Filipino taxpayers -- battle the enemies of the Philippines, bozos like Tonyo Cruz are lionising terrorists ... Is this right? The New People's Army are the enemy. Filipinos should rally behind their troops in their efforts to kill the enemy. That's what Filipinos spend billions training and arming them for -- to shoot the enemy. When people like Tonyo Cruz publicly express messages of support for the enemy, what does that make him? He is supporting a camp who kill Filipino soldiers and require Filipino taxpayers to spend billions more to train and arm more soldiers.

Philosophy professor at @AteneoDeManilaU allegedly stares at student's chest for half an hour during oral exam

Image
A complaint submitted as #ADMURantbox2538 to a Facebook site called ADMU Rantbox tells of the plight of a student allegedly harassed by her Philosophy professor during an oral exam... #RBateneo Too scared to say anything publicly so dito na lang: my philo prof spent the better part of our oral exams just staring at my chest. It was a fifteen minute exam pero naging almost thirty minutes I ran off as soon as it ended and went straight to the bathroom to cry my eyes out it felt so disgusting and now parating na final orals ko and I'm so afraid because I know it's going to happen again. A number of commenters have encouraged the author of the post to file a case.

It was Noynoy Aquno who INVENTED and PERFECTED the Art of Blame, Mr @GideonLasco

Image
According to a certain Gideon Lasco, the government of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte  suffers from a "culture of blame"... ...while conveniently forgetting who the real King of Blame is. Indeed, former president Benigno Simeon 'BS' Aquino III was renowned for being a pathological blamer. He just spewed bullets of blame like a Gatling gun on steroids. Not only did he blame his predecessors incessantly, he even tried to take credit for their achievements as he tried to do in claiming sole credit for the completion of the new Laguindingan Airport in Cagayan de Oro ! On the contrary, much of what BS Aquino "achieved" was on the back of foundations laid by the very predecessors he kept on blaming for much of the six years of his failed presidency.

Manila Bulletin (@manilabulletin) columnist @TonyoCruz makes LIBELOUS allegations about people and gets away with it! 😮

Image
Interesting that social media "influencer" Tonyo Cruz would be part of a panel organised by Rappler (of course) to talk about the "limits of free speech" of all things during a powow of like-minded personalities yesterday that "trended" the hashtag #FactsMatterPH. Perhaps Cruz should look at his own penchant for taking liberties to make unfounded claims about certain people on his own Twitter feed where he posts "blind items" about people that, it seems, he merely does not like . Who indeed should we believe, Mr Tonyo Cruz? For most intelligent Filipinos, the answer to that question is simple and straightforward. One should trust people who tell the truth . So are you telling the truth, Mr Tonyo Cruz? If so, show us proof that you are. There are, perhaps, "limits to free speech" as you and your amigos keep screeching about. But it seems you are the one who understands the notion the least among them. And we ...
