There is no fixing the Philippines' jeepney cancer. Only full eradication will work.

The point is missed by a mile when Filipinos propose any solution that involves tinkering on the fringes of the Philippines' jeepneys cancer. Unfortunately the sort of thinking being applied to the matter is, quite simply, exceedingly small.


Jeepneys are an immense socio-economic problem that has imprisoned Filipinos for decades and continue to thwart the Philippines' march to progress.

People who defend, apologise for, and coddle these monsters are part of the problem.

Not since Marcos have we as a people been so polarized. As far as our hearts and minds are concerned it's like we're in the edge of a civil war. We are forced to take a hard look at ourselves and what we value. Because of this, we are fighting friends in coffee houses, on the telephone, and on Facebook. Mocha Uson a better role model for women than her "decent" critics

Mocha Uson has struck a chord with the people. She did not grow up sheltered like some of these decent people. In 2002, she lost her father, a judge to an [politically motivated?] ambush killing. She was probably 20 at the time. She has had to make a living and a name for herself as best she could. Any resentment she feels, she has kept to herself, she does not bring up the murder every now and then as though she should be given sympathy (not like some personalities who like to bring up the necro card). To Gilas fans I respect very much your support and enthusiasm on the win and efforts of Gilas. But "Pwede na yan attitude" (this will do) is a clear sign of FILIPINO MEDIOCRITY – being happy & contented with a none bearing win instead of winning all 4.
