The hypocrisy in the petition to shut down Mocha Uson’s Facebook page

Uson’s popularity and access to Malacanang have made her the target of vicious attacks from anti-Duterte Netizens. Even mainstream media outlets such as Rappler have attempted to write her off as a quack. In a series of articles denouncing the way Duterte supporters have all but “weaponized” the Internet, Rappler CEO Maria Ressa even blamed the algorithm used by Facebook to prioritise what content gets displayed on users’ timeline for Uson’s rise to prominence writing that “algorithms don’t distinguish fact from fiction.”

So does Mocha Uson’s Facebook page deserve to be suspended?

Outrage over Leni Robredo's fraudulent Vice Presidency prevails among ordinary Filipinos!

To those who say Leni Robredo is the legally recognized VP, please think about this — legally recognized by whom? By the yellow officials who installed her through illicit means? By the dwindling band of yellow fanatics who turned up at Luneta last weekend? Go out to the streets. Talk to the jeepney drivers, taxi drivers, vendors, commuters, etc. Talk to the real people expressing their disgust and disbelief in forums, facebook, etc. The outrage is everywhere, expressed several times a day, everyday, in the Philippines and among the OFWs. Robredo can be sworn in a thousand times by Drilon and Belmonte, declared "winner" a million times by Andres Bautista, "legalized" a billion times by Sereno, and congratulated a trillion times by the US and other ambassadors, but majority of the Filipino people STILL won't believe she's legit. Dear Nathania Chua: My professor in "Global Poverty, Local Solutions" did field work in poverty stricken areas in the Philippines. During our first day, when I introduced myself as a Filipino, he told me this immediately: "One of the major problems in your country is that the elite in your country is so full of themselves."
