COMELEC Debacle: ENTIRE cast of Liberal Party 'winning' candidates in deep SH1T!!!

Macalintal and LP are clutching at straws if they will insist that late filing is allowed and that it is meted simply a fine.  They will have to argue their case at the Supreme Court, for I have a feeling that this issue will reach the High Court.

On the argument that RA 7166 provides for fines, this does not in any way negate forfeiture of seats for both can be imposed on a non-filer.  Furthermore, it must be pointed out that the law imposes fines on the act of failure to file SOCE, and not on its late filing.

On the argument that RA 7166 has downgraded non-filing of SOCE as no longer an election offense but just an administrative offense, unfortunately the same law did not downgrade the penalty for non-filing which is still forfeiture of seats.

On the argument that the law intended for allowing late filing, if that is the case then the law should have granted the COMELEC the power to extend the 30 days it specified. Unfortunately, RA 7166 does not empower the COMELEC to do so, and any extension of the 30 days will amount to an amendment of the law which only Congress has the power to do.  This is precisely why COMELEC through Rule 10 repealed all previous Rules it issued in past elections which allowed for late filing beyond the 30 days, for such were blatant encroachments into the powers of Congress to legislate.

If the law did not authorize the COMELEC to extend to a new deadline, then having a late filing becomes a legal fiction for it can become an inordinate act without a reckoning end time that would define the treshold for late filing.

So, for now LP, Robredo, the 5 LP Senators-Elect and all winning LP candidates are in deep deep poop!

Victims of drug-crazed addicts don't get 'trending' hashtags like #JusticeForKian

For the past few days I was doing research on a few things like I said. A new FB friend sent me a message telling me about a Dad in Dumaguete who lost his only daughter to a drug crazed addict who used 7 knives to stab her and a friend in Siquijor last April. I did the research, read up on everything and his recent "upheavals". I need not tell you all that I have no words to fully express how deeply this affects me because I am a single mom with a daughter too. His only daughter was even 3 - 4 months pregnant when she and her friend was mercilessly stabbed to death so many times by a drug addict. Nino Pinero is a professor in Siliman University. He is a coach. Given what I have read about this gentleman, he is a very compassionate man, a loving father and being a coach to youngsters - deeply loved by his students. It's not really a Duterte dictatorship that Yellowtards fear but a looming Macapagal-Marcos political alliance. The scions of Cong Dadong and Apo Lakay are on a mission of redemption. They want history to be kinder to their respective plights. In the case of GMA, she wants to be remembered as the President who did more for the country post-Marcos and not the President who replaced Erap in a civil-military coup. She also wants to remove the ignominious circumstances of her detention for five years on trumped up charges. In the case of Bongbong, the Marcoses have been enjoying a renaissance already. Nothing would validate this more than a return to Malacañan as President or Prime Minister depending​ on the outcome of the move to amend the Constitution. Senate Lascanas and Motabato Show an LP ploy to create more ammo for int'l media vs Duterte

I think Lascanas really did have a murder-for-hire racket going on with Matobato. So all those murders he said he committed are most probably true. The question is, did Duterte order those murders? Can it be proven that he ordered them? Not likely. Those charges against Duterte have been around for thirty years and no one has been able to prove them. It's not likely they can be proven now.
