All eyes on COMELEC as massive pressure mounts on it to uphold Electoral Law and ITS OWN RULES!

While some may already have the notion that COMELEC may bend the rules to favor LP, I have a feeling that the pressure this time is so intense for them to impose the law.

First, they themselves emphasized the non-extendibility of the June 8 deadline and that any late submissions will be considered as non-filing.

Second, there will be an outcry from candidates who lost to LP who complied with the deadine.

And most importantly, LP is no longer in power.

    Follow the Law.. dateline is dateline.... Just like the BIR , Penalized if late fillings, So if that Law stated, so follow it.

    The New DOJ Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre has the power to prosecute and penalize any COMELEC official that willingfully breaks and disregards this Law! So sige sino and mga Pasaway na pipirma to circumvent the law?

    They are in trouble, if they accept the extension it will be a very bad action and there will be great repercussions. If not, no more LP in the government and they will be also in trouble because the massive cheating will be exposed and no one above to protect them :)

    Comelec should start following the law, pag ilang beses ng gumawa ng paraan ang Comelec para protektahan ang dilaw...or people will start taking the laws into their own hand...dapat talaga umpisahan ng mag tumba ng tao...sobrang argabyado na ang tao sa ginagawa ng putang inang comelec na yan...at dapat na talaga silang ma sampolan...

The oh-so-noble journalists are at it again, this time, with Duterte’s Hitler comment. I am no Duterte fanatic. I criticize him more scathingly than anyone when his mouth is out of line. But this time, Duterte really didn’t say anything wrong. The real culprits behind the fuss over his Hitler comment are Karen Lema and Manuel Mogato, two Filipino reporters of the Reuters news agency, who wrote this article: “ Philippines’ Duterte likens himself to Hitler, wants to kill millions of drug addicts ”. Lema and Mogato are Filipinos. There’s no way they could have misunderstood what Duterte really meant in his speech. I watched the video and this is what the President said: “Hitler massacred 3 million Jews. There are 3 million drug addicts. I’d be happy to slaughter them. At least, if Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have ….. my victims, all criminals, to finish a problem of my country, and save the next generation.” (See for yourself here . NAKAKAHIYA I watched Bodet Honrado's performance before the Senate. It's clear that the job of NAIA Gen Manager is too big for him. He is out of place there and should be yanked out before more damage is done to passengers, airlines, tourism, the economy and the country's reputation.  The lesson here is quite basic. Place people in key positions whose qualifications, experience and track record fit the job.
