Inquirer.net Freudian slip! Burka clad lady a 'security risk'?!

What was so threatening about this lady Philippine President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was shaking hands with? Apparently the editors of the family newsletter were a bit concerned about the safety of their eminent benefactor and beneficiary (see caption below photo).

Wow. Inquirer always makes tasteless attempts at witty captions. That's islamophobia from a nationally circulated newspaper touted with "balanced news" and "fearless views."

  2. I'm glad you took note of that Benign0. This further boosts my confidence in GRP that you guys are indeed sensible and fair.

I had also commented on the same picture and called the attention of the newly-appointed NCMF Secretary.

This was my comment: WOW! Just wow.. this is disturbing. In a country where Muslims are part and parcel of th...e land and where they have been living far longer than the establishment of the Philippine Government, and Muslim women practicing their religious freedom are considered SECURITY RISKS?! Seriously?! Is this comment by the inquirer on this picture to be let off without so much as a squeak?

This should not go unnoticed. I call the attention of the NCMF. I understand the sentiment that it might pose a security threat, but that is just not the way.
